Music & Dance

Welcome to the Music & Dance.

Music is an inseparable part of student’s life in school. Students who have inherent talent get ample encouragement and guidance from experts in that particular field be it Vocal, Key-Board, String or Wind instruments & Dance. Music seeps into every student’s personality in the school as they regurlarly practice these skills.

With a motto to groom our students we provide music classes regularly in school campus.

Pursuing the CCE pattern music period has become a part and parcel in the time table of classes VI to X and each child is assessed accordingly.

MMPS provides training to students in Indian Classical Music and Classical Orchestra to train students in Vocal and Instrumental Music as well as dance under the able guidance of well qualified teacher of Music and Dance.

A unique feature which has been introduced by MMPS is School Band

The school has sufficient instruments learn and organize function on a grand scale.

School Band & Orchestra
Music has been one of the main focuses of Maharana Mewar Public School's educational approach. Therefore since the school’s inception in 1974 the institution has nurtured authentic Indian Music. The Music Department trains students where East & West harmoniously & seamlessly meet.

Indian and Western Orchestra
The Indian and Western Orchestra comprises 80-100 students who are trained in Vocal, Sitar, Violin, Tabla, Flute, Harmonium, Keyboard, Drum, Cello & Guitar. The Orchestra group has been giving in-house performances and had the rare privilege of performing at Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation Award Function and Dirga Art Gallery inauguration. This Orchestra has presented world level music pieces which has won audiences heart.

Pipe Band
The School Pipe Band’s grooming began in 2010 and has been consistently putting up ace-shows. The 25 pipers have been trained in Bagpipes, Bass Drum, Tenor & Side Drum. The Pipe Band performed on the occasion of Pratap Jayanti at Moti Magri as well as well as Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation Award Function.

Brass Band
40 students since July 2013 are being trained in 10 Instruments such as Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, French Horn, Saxophone, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Bass Drum, Side Drum and Cymbal. The Brass Band gave its first maiden performance in World Living Heritage Festival 2014 at The Durbar Hall. The Brass Band scored high points and received sweepstakes for their marvelous show.
