Is this a Government Museum?
No. This museum is owned by a Trust called the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation that funcltions under the chairmanship of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, the 76th. custodian of the royal family of Mewar.

This is a Palace - Where is the Museum?
This museum has limited collection that is housed in a historic palace fortress. The museum highlight is the architectural experience of the multifaceted palace spaces. The future museum planning under the conservation master plan of the museum focuses on this architectural experience of the visitor.
